Job: Miss Representation Campaign Director

Women’s Media Center (WMC)

The Deal: The Women’s Media Center (WMC) is a non-profit organization aiming to amplify women’s voices and change the conversation in the media.

They’re working on a documentary film, “Miss Representation”. It explores women’s under-representation in positions of power and influence and challenges the limited and often disparaging portrayal of women in the media.

WMC is searching for a dynamic campaign strategist with online organizing experience and excellent communication skills to lead campaign outreach from New York, in a 6-month contract position with possible extension, compensation commensurate with experience.

Job: Summer Bike Workshop Coordinator

Internship: Summer Contractor Guatemala Field Trial

The Deal: RainSaucers, a company working to manufactures standalone rainwater harvesting (RWH) systems designed to make RWH cleaner, simpler, and more flexible, is seeking an Independent Contractor to bring the field trials units to Guatemala and implement them in a variety of field examples and monitor their performance and end user feedback throughout the summer (June – August 2011).

Some requirements are intermediate Spanish, experience working with PVC and performing basic plumbing tasks, experience traveling to developing countries, as well as a personal laptop and digital camera with video capability.
