The Deal: Apathy is Boring is based in Montreal and works on youth and democracy issues. They just moved into a new storefront office and are now hiring a full time Development Coordinator to help raise money, manage staff and develop some organizational capacity. There ED is great and it would be a great place to work. 

+ DreamNow: Apathy is Boring is a close partner of DreamNow's. We were started around the same time and have sort of grown-up together. Recently we started actually working together helping them do some work following up from the youth dialouges that they help Canada's Governor General run. There will probably be one coming to a city close to you so get ready and apply for this job.

Conference: Big Splash Youth Summit

New Brunswick Advisory Council on Youth

Deadline: April 30th 2009

The Deal: This is a conference for youth from New Brunswick that has been happening for ten years. It is put on by the Department of the Environment and is the culmination of a series of smaller events they held across the province. There is room for fifty youth from across the province. 

+DreamNow: We are still talking to the organizers but it is a possibility that we may be at the conference with our Continuum program.

Conference: Global Youth Assembly

Global Youth Assembly
Date: July 30th-August 2nd

The Deal:  One thousand people from across Canada and around the world will come together in Edmonton. The conference happens every two years and has really great speakers including celebs from the 4REAL series and possibly even Canada’s Governor General. There is lots of talk about building a youth movement, and building your own project.  It’s more than the usual talk.

+ DreamNow: We are going to be there helping turn all of the excitement into action through our Continuum program.
