The Deal: Although this is a well publicized opportunity and another 'get your friends to vote to win' site it is still worth mentioning. Pepsi instead of showcasing a new Super Bowl ad decided to do something different-- this is it. They hired Good Magazine to help them structure, create and publicize the Refresh Project which awards five, twenty-five and fifty thousand to individuals, groups, and organizations with good ideas. If you had success rallying your own friends around competitions like Chase or Aviva then you might as well try for this.
